The palace, now owned by the family Santacchi, was built on commission of Cardinal Mariano Pierbenedetti the late sixteenth century, as evidenced by the coats of arms inside the building.
The project is attributed to the great architect Domenico Fontana, very active in those years in Camerino, not only in Rome.
The palace stands in Piazza Umberto I, Camerino, right on the city walls, the courtyard you can enjoy a spectacular view of the hills that surround it.
